Lebenslauf

Moritz Görg was born in Ulm/Germany and began studying music at the „Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg-Augsburg“ majoring in trumpet with Prof. Uwe Kleindienst. Further studies followed with Bo Nilsson and Håkan Hardenberger at the „Academy of Music Malmö“ and at the „Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg“ with Prof. Matthias Höfs.

In addition to his solo activities, Moritz Görg has collaborated with many ensembles and symphony orchestras, such as the Nürnberger Symphoniker and Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal, and has been featured as a welcomed guest artist at numerous renowned german orchestras, such as Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.

As a specialist in making music on the valveless natural trumpet, he has worked with leading conductors of early music, such as Thomas Hengelbrock, Philippe Herreweghe and several early music ensembles, Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble, Collegium Vocale Gent, Vox Luminis among others.

Moritz Görg is lecturer in residence on trumpet, natural trumpet and orchestral studies at the „Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg“, at the „Hochschule für Musik Dresden“ and at the „Leopold-Mozart-Zentrum Augsburg“. Since 2018 he has been coaching the brass section at the Cuban-European Youth Academy of the Balthasar-neumann-Ensemble.
