An die HfMT - Studierende

People from many different countries study and work at the University of Music and Theatre. The language of instruction and work is mostly German and the majority of students speak German and feel comfortable using it. In the English-language degree programmes, English is the basis for teaching and communication; German is also used in most cases.

However, some students have only just started to learn German, which means that language barriers can sometimes lead to minor or major challenges in university life. Language problems with organisational issues may arise in the context of teaching and entrance examinations. Sometimes there may be important information that could not be understood. Or language barriers may arise when dealing with the authorities. The L(anguage) team tries to offer selective assistance here.

L(anguage) team for language support in the following languages: Bulgarian, German, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian.
