Lebenslauf
1976-81 recorder studies in Amsterdam - 1981 soloist exam 'cum laude' there. Worldwide concert career since and from 1984-88 professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London ; as from 1988 Professor at the HfMT Hamburg and guest professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Additionally, between 2007 and 2015 guest professor in Kraków. International masterclasses worldwide, partially at music academies between Amsterdam and Wellington.
Publikationen
- About 40 CDs as a soloist and ensemble musician (with Trevor Pinnock on DGG/Archiv, with Roy Goodman on Hyperion, with Simon Standage on Chandos, with La Fontegara Amsterdam on Globe, with René Jacobs on Harmonia Mundi &c.). Special mention for "Blavet Flute Sonatas" on Glissando and "Awakening Princesses", and "Bach Flute Sonatas" on Aeolus.
- Concerts (incl.radio- und televisionrecordings) with colleagues and ensembles such as Gustav Leonhardt, Andrew Parrott, Cecilia Bartoli, Orchestra of the 18th Century, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin &c. all of Europa, in N-America and Asia ( London, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussel, Kopenhaven, Napoli, Barcelona, Lisboa, Sydney, Wellington, Houston, Hong-Kong, Macau &c. ).
