Applicants may be admitted to the HfMT if they fulfill the general education entrance requirement (Abitur or officially recognized equivalent high school/secondary education diploma) and the applicants– regardless of whether they are beginning or transferring students – must pass the entrance exam in order to prove that they meet the required artistic and academic level.

A large number of courses at the HfMT have a limited capacity for students. Therefore, we can not enroll all applicants who have passed the entrance examination. In the diagram below, we explain the several steps of the application procedure up to the entrance examination.
