Antonio Di Dedda, concert exam graduate in Anna Vinnitskaya's piano class, won first prize at the International Robert Schumann VIDEO Competition for Piano and Voice in Zwickau, Germany

"A special competition at a special time: this is probably the best way to describe the International Robert Schumann VIDEO Competition. The initial idea of holding only the first round as a video round and starting the second with participants on site ultimately turned into a complete video competition in two rounds - without a participant visiting Zwickau, without a jury on site, without host parents cheering on their guests and without a glittering prizewinners' concert. But: the competition took place with no less effort and no fewer questions from the participants, no less commitment from the jury and no less excitement on the part of the participants; this year everything was just digital and a little different. What remains are the great contributions of the finalists on the YouTube channel "Schumann in Zwickau" and the experience that digital solutions also work in an emergency."
