International

In addition to its worldwide contacts, the Hamburg University of Music and Drama has maintained many partnerships with European universities and institutions for many years. The impetus for new partnerships comes from all areas of the university or from institutions that make contact with the HfMT from all over the world.

We advise and support people working at the HfMT as well as those planning to spend time abroad.

A valuable exchange of expertise on all current topics concerning artistic, academic and cultural universities is possible through university networks. The AEC (Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen) plays a particularly important role here as a European competence network.

One example of particularly successful cooperation is the "CoPeCo" ("Contemporary Performance and Composition") Master's degree course. The special feature is that students spend four semesters at each of four European universities.
