Welcome to the HfMT HH
This page is for you if you are in the enrollment phase.
If you are admitted after successfully passing the entrance examination and have accepted the study place, you will then receive further information on enrolment by email. You will receive information on payment of the semester contribution, proof of health insurance cover must be submitted and any missing documents must be submitted later. The exchange takes place directly with your academic office.
Below you will find further information on enrolment and important key words that are helpful and worth knowing when starting your studies and at the beginning of the semester.
Important:
You are only a student at the HfMT HH from the start of the semester. Your access data for the HfMT ID, room booking, downloading the Germany semester ticket etc. will therefore only work from the earliest date of full enrollment and the start of the semester (01.10. or 01.04.).
Health insurance
To study at a German university, you must have health insurance and provide proof of this when enrolling.
Study certificates
As soon as all documents have been submitted and the semester contribution has been paid, you will receive your certificate of enrolment shortly before the start of the semester. This is usually done by post or in your academic office. The certificates of enrolment contain the study and enrolment certificates as well as the student ID and the download link to the Germany semester ticket.
You will also find the BAföG certificate according to § 9 BAföG (top right) in the certificates of enrolment, which you submit to the BAföG office if you have applied for BAföG.
After the start of the semester, you will also find the study certificates in myCampus under "Student Services".
HfMT identifier
You will receive your access data with your HfMT ID from your academic office shortly before the start of the semester. You can use the HfMT ID ("mt-Kennung" or "Hochschulkennung") to register for or activate the various IT services at the university (room booking/asimut, e-mail address, Moodle, myCampus...) as well as the W-LAN.
Please also read the information "Digital services for students".
During Freshers' Week (see below) there will be an appointment for support for the first IT steps at the HfMT HH ("Ho w To IT"). Please take advantage of this event.
Key card
Students book their rooms at the HfMT HH independently in the room booking system Asimut. Access to the booked rooms is by key card or transponder. You will receive the key card shortly before the start of the semester from your departmental office (in person or by post). The key card will be activated as soon as you are fully enrolled. You can book rooms from the start of the semester (01.10. or 01.04.). You will need your HfMT ID for the booking. Please keep the card in a safe place; a replacement fee will be charged if you lose it.
The card must be returned if you interrupt, give up or complete your studies. Otherwise a replacement fee will be charged.

Documentation forms
"Documentation sheets", "colored sheets" and curriculum or study plan
You will receive the study plan and the documentation sheets ("Dokubögen") with your semester documents at the start of your studies. The study plan is intended to help you plan your studies. The study plan shows the structure of the degree program in the standard period of study. It shows the modules offered per semester and how many credit points or credits (CP) are earned per semester. The module description of your degree program can be found on our homepage.
You document the progress of your studies in the colored documentation sheets. Just like in a student handbook, you record all the courses and coursework you have attended for each semester and have your coursework confirmed by the lecturers with their signature.
It is also possible to have your participation in seminars and lectures confirmed by the respective lecturers by e-mail. Please keep these e-mails in a safe place and also attach them as a printout to your transcript of records so that the achievement can later be recorded as an academic achievement by your academic office in the examination file and in the Transcript of Records (ToR).
Transcript of Records
A Transcript of Records (ToR) is an overview of all courses and achievements attended during your studies. The ToR is issued by the academic office on the basis of the documentation sheets at the end of your studies.
Feedback
Please note that you must always register or re-register for the following semester in good time (re-registration). You can re-register by paying the semester contribution for the following semester on time.
