The study program
Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP) combines practice- and science-oriented pedagogical subjects with excellent artistic training. In a double degree program, students are trained in the main subject EMP and in their instrumental/vocal main subject, whereby classical instruments as well as jazz can be chosen.
In our small and exquisite course of study, personal and individual advice and intensive supervision are just as much a matter of course as good cooperation between students. There are regular exchanges with EMP departments at other German training institutes.
As part of the Innovative University 's Stage_2.0 project, Elementary Music Education offers a certificate course of the same name for immigrant musicians and educators trained in Germany with the sub-project Elementary Music Practice International .
The course enables graduates to be artistically active and, through the interplay of instrumental pedagogy and EMP, opens up a wide range of careers in music schools, public schools, independent organizations, cultural institutions and freelance work.
