Teaching and learning for the future
Deanery III deals with music in different historical and social contexts. This involves an approach to the connections between people - music - society in education, therapy and science. The specialist groups of Dean's Office III reflect on musical experience in their respective disciplinary approaches to music education, application and research.
The Dean's Office III enriches university life through inter-departmental programs and is committed to a health-conscious, socially responsible and critical music-making practice at the university and in society. Musicology is an integral part of all music-related degree courses. The Institute of School Music, Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP), Instrumental Pedagogy (IP) and the Institute of Music Therapy provide key impetus for an inclusive and culturally sensitive approach to music.
With its subject-specific characteristics, the Dr. phil. doctoral program lays the foundation for the next generation of academics and the further development of the individual departments.
