At the beginning of this winter semester Dr. Jutta Toelle was welcomed as the new Professor of Musicology in the Dean's Office III of the HfMT.

Jutta Toelle taught musicology at the University of Vienna, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and HU Berlin. She was appointed Professor of Applied Musicology at the Gustav Mahler Private University of Music in Klagenfurt in 2019 and worked there until recently.

In her first semester, Prof. Dr. Jutta Toelle will already be introducing this broad range of topics into her teaching: In addition to a lecture on the music history of opera (Music History II), she will offer a seminar on Music for War and Peace, a seminar on current approaches in the performance of classical music and a block seminar with an excursion to Milan on "Opera and Operatic Institutions Past & Present". From now on, she will also be involved in the research colloquium for doctoral students in musicology and music theory.

A detailed report with Prof. Dr. Toelle has been published in the current issue of ZWOELF.
