- Description
This is an introduction to C-style syntax in order to provide a beginning foundation for coding in JavaScript (JS), Node.js and GenExpr (Codebox). Students will learn to integrate procedural and object-oriented JS code within a Max patcher environment, build a simple server using Node and manipulate audio/signal data from within Gen's code box. (These skills may also serve the student in Max's RNBO extension.) Due to the scope of topics this seminar is structured as a pragmatic survey rather than a focused, in-depth course. Students are required to have Max 8 software (Cycling 74) able to run JS, Node and GenExpr.
