Description

Composing and performing music in an immersive format is a long-held desire of many, but only in recent years has this become possible thanks to technological advances. Immersive audio goes beyond the traditional surround format and completely envelops the listener. This format can be found in many consumer products on the market today, but even more exciting is that we have immersive audio systems available at the HfMT to perform immersive concerts and conduct immersive experiments.
In this course we want to compose immersive music and explore the possibilities that this new format offers us. At the end of the course we will give a live immersive performance of the resulting pieces.
This course is aimed at composers and musicians in higher semesters who want to add another dimension to their music with immersive audio. All musical genres can be part of this course. This course lasts two semesters.
