Jazz Federation Hamburg e.V. presents
Friday, 04/10/2026 19:30 HfMT, JazzHall

At last year's "Jugend jazzt" competition organized by the Hamburg State Music Council, the jury selected the Jazz Buskies as the winner of the "jazz meets school" sponsorship award from the Jazz Federation Hamburg.
The young quintet from the Jugendmusikschule is made up of Fridosse Akakpo (drums), Lena Siems (bass), Jan-Luis Meyer-Jark (sax), Konstantin Stolzenburg (trumpet) and Tamino Nast (piano & guitar) and is joined on some pieces by singer Kit Ringler.
After several intensive coaching sessions with three of the most renowned musicians on the Hamburg jazz scene - Lisa Wulff (bass), Gabriel Coburger (saxophone) and Tobias Frohnhöfer (drums) - the quintet is now looking forward to their performance at the JazzHall.
Duty Free focuses entirely on the original compositions of quartet founder Timon Krämer. The visionary bassist gives his fellow musicians Rafael Müller on drums, Aydın Bayramoğlu on piano and Benjamin Stanko on trumpet and flugelhorn complete freedom to improvise. Inspired by groove-oriented jazz, the musicians unfold their joy of experimentation in a creative playing style between sometimes balladic, sometimes rhythmically rousing sounds, with hints of swing, modal jazz and Latin groove mixed in.
