Discussion evening as part of Hamburg Press Freedom Week
Moderator
Prof. Manuel Hartung
Social discourses and phenomena are reflected in culture and the media, while at the same time their participants actively shape them. Questions of responsibility and relevance, social representation, and the portrayal of the world concern both producers and consumers. And what about participation—who can and wants to get involved, and in what ways? How and where do opinions, desires, and demands find resonance? Cultural and media professionals are part of this dynamic landscape, where they define and bring their roles to life amidst shifting social, cultural, and political contexts.
We’re digging deeper and inviting prominent representatives from the cultural and media scenes to the panel: What visions are they pursuing, and what trends and discourses are they keeping an eye on? In personal conversations, they’ll give us insight into their fields of work and offer a glimpse behind the scenes.
