*) EMG measurement (EMG = electromyography): Using surface electrodes (similar to those used in an ECG), muscle activity can be displayed on a screen. Of interest to musicians is whether, for example, they are also using muscles that they do not actually need to activate—such as unnecessary muscle activation in the shoulder and neck areas.
