Description

The doctoral colloquium is aimed at doctoral students in the field of music education and provides intensive support and reflection on ongoing dissertation projects. In a small, research-oriented working framework, individual research projects are continuously presented, discussed and methodologically and theoretically deepened.
The focus is on the specification of research questions, the sharpening of the theoretical framework and the critical examination of qualitative and/or quantitative research designs. Depending on the project, questions of data collection (e.g. interview, observation, document analysis) and the scientific theoretical foundation are dealt with.
The colloquium offers space for the discussion of exposés, chapter drafts, interim empirical results and publication plans. The aim is the continuous further development of the dissertation projects, the profiling of an independent academic position and integration into the academic discourse.
