Description

The event focuses on the development of music history in the "long" 19th century - a period that stretches up to the end of the First World War and is full to the brim with (musical) content. At least some of these "great" works - "great" both in their dimensions as concert and theater music and, of course, in their quality - will be examined and questioned with regard to their aesthetic approaches. The protagonists and important institutions of this period will also be discussed.
