- Description
The seminar begins with an introduction to the forms of figure and object theater in 20th and 21st century Europe. Using historical and contemporary texts, concepts and backgrounds of the individual forms will be worked out together. The focus of the seminar is on practical units in which the participants become familiar with various forms of play and animation techniques. On the one hand, this involves different types of puppets and their characteristics. On the other hand, they will learn about different object qualities and ways of interacting with them on stage.
The seminar is well suited for initial explorations of one's own performative practice and
does not require any stage experience. Exercises from acting classes and performance
alternate and explore body and material in space and on stage.Various reflection formats offer the opportunity to look at one's own experiences individually and
in the group. In addition to historical contexts and forms of play, there will also be the opportunity to try out your own ideas. The seminar will be held in German.
