A focused study of technical and expressive details of the "Symphony of Psalms" by I. Stravinsky; parallel to this, a discussion of Stravinsky's aesthetics based on his texts ("Musical Poetics").
Targeted composition exercises are intended to pave the way to a compositional sketch with reflected stylistic features of Stravinsky's music: this is the concrete goal of the seminar and the prerequisite for earning credit points. Students from all disciplines are welcome if they have the willingness, determination and perseverance to create a (not extensive, but completed) composition. However, it is essential to have an intermediate level of compositional ability.
