Description

Dear Homies, dear students,

the seminar "Cultural Studies Hip Hop" starts on October 13, 2025 in the Cypher Höhle, room U11 Budge from 15:00-16:30.

The seminar is offered by the HfMT's Diversity Studies department for students of all possible disciplines who want to study the world's largest youth culture and the pop culture courses related to it. In the sense of "artistic research", practical aspects also play a role, and a final presentation is planned.

This semester, we will examine topics such as Sampling as an Artform, Conscious Rap and Black American History, Rap Slang and its effects on youth culture and niche topics such as rap from the Golden Era and Dirty South Rap or G-Funk. We will again feature illustrious guests who will tell us about rap and hip hop culture from their perspective.

And if you dont know - now you know!
