The seminar addresses important content from psychology for instrumental pedagogy and prepares it in a practical way for instrumental pedagogy. Topics include musical development and socialization, learning and motivation, the body in instrumental lessons, relationship aspects in instrumental lessons, self-esteem-enhancing feedback and supportive communication, music and performance as well as stage fright and performance anxiety.

The Pedagogy and Psychology seminar is aimed at students on the Instrumental Pedagogy course in the 7th + 8th semester. It is a compulsory module and runs for 2 semesters until July 2026.
