Dr. Michael H. Thaut, PhD,
is currently Professor of Music with cross-appointments in the Faculty of Medicine (Rehabilitation Sciences, Medical Sciences, Neuroscience) at the University of Toronto. He is also a research associate of the CAMH Hospital Neuroimaging Division and the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. He is the Director of the Music and Health Sciences Research Centre (MAHRC) and the Graduate Program in Music and Health Sciences (MHS) at the University. His position is endowed with a TIER I CANADA RESEARCH CHAIR IN MUSIC, NEUROSCIENCE, AND HEALTH Award from the Canadian federal government.
