Chia-Yang Hsu, born in Taiwan, studied from the age of six with Ms. Chen Yin at the Xiamen Music School and during this time with Prof. Yubo Zhou and Prof. Chen Weiling at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. At the age of 16, he was admitted to the Hamburg University of Music and Drama. In the same year, his duo with pianist Nuozhi Xu received a full scholarship from the VFFK Foundation Rostock and the Rectorate of the Rostock University of Music and Drama as a visiting scholarship holder for duo piano at the Rostock University of Music and Drama. He has performed in many countries in Asia and Europe, including Germany, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, the United Arab Emirates and China. At the age of 14, he made his concert debut as a soloist with the Xiamen Youth Orchestra and the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2017 and 2018, he won the first prize at the ICOM Piano Competition in Germany, the C.P.E. He completed his bachelor's degree two semesters earlier than planned. This was followed by a Master's degree at the University of Music in Ljubljana (Slovenia), also under Prof. Aleksandar Serdar, which he completed with distinction in January 2020. Aleksandar Raos is currently studying for his concert exam at the University of Music and Drama in Hamburg in the class of Prof. Aleksandar Madžar. During his studies, he took part in numerous international competitions and was awarded over 30 prizes. He is also a recipient of a Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now scholarship.
