Hamburg Talks for Culture & Media - Season 2024 - 2025
What moves the culture and media scene?
Social discourses and phenomena are reflected in culture and media, while at the same time their actors actively shape them. Questions about responsibility and relevance, social representation and the depiction of the world move both producers and consumers. And what about participation - who can and wants to get involved and in what ways? How and where do opinions, wishes and demands find resonance? Cultural and media professionals are part of this field of tension in which they define their role and fill it with life under changing social, cultural and political conditions.
We ask questions and invite renowned representatives of the cultural and media scene to the podium: What visions do they follow and what trends and discourses do they have in mind? In personal discussions, they give us an insight into their sphere of activity and allow us a look behind the scenes.
The evenings will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Regina Back, Managing Director of the Claussen Simon Foundation, and Prof. Manuel J. Hartung, Chairman of the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius. Both are lecturers at the Institute for Cultural and Media Management at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama.
