the diversity of Latin American music meets jazz and improvisation
Saturday, 01/18/2025 19:30 HfMT, JazzHall

Latin jazz is where the diversity of Latin American music meets jazz and improvisation. In this format, we invite outstanding soloists from Hamburg's Latin jazz scene to showcase their skills alongside a regular line-up of drums, congas, bass and piano in the JazzHall. This evening we welcome saxophonist Leandro Saint-Hill and violinist Jose Francisco Pérez Colón, who recently accompanied Adele in her celebrated performances. A session will take place in the second part of the evening. Interested musicians are invited to play with the band of the evening and learn from and with each other in a mutual exchange.

Line-up

Jose Francisco Pérez Colón - violin
Leandro Saint-Hill - saxophone
Marta Winnitzki - piano
Ricardo Chicho Castillo - drums
Felix Behrendt - bass
Sebastian Nickoll - congas
