Ellen Mölck presents modern jazz, pop and her own compositions. Serenity plays pieces from the album "Songs and Lullabies"
Wednesday, 01/08/2025 19:30 HfMT, JazzHall

Ellen Mölck Band: Ellen Mölck is a Swedish drummer and composer who is currently completing an exchange semester at the HfMT. With her newly formed quintet, she presents a mixture of modern jazz and pop as well as her own compositions. Inspired by artists such as Esbjörn Svensson, Susanne Sundfør and Kathrine Windfeld, the quintet explores the space between composed arrangements and free improvisations - creating an atmosphere full of explosive grooves, intricate melodies and Ellen's personal lyrics.

Serenity: Jiuning Liu began her music studies with classical singing. Her great passion for jazz and pop music led her to the desire and decision to become a jazz singer. At the HfMT, she was given the opportunity to get to know many outstanding musicians in addition to receiving an excellent education. On this evening, Serenity will perform a selection of pieces from the album "Songs and Lullabies" by Fred Hersch and Norma Winstone. As a special guest, they welcome the award-winning Hamburg composer and percussionist Sönke Düwer from Ensemble Du Verre.
