The jazz departments of the HfMT Hamburg and the UNPHU Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) have been friends for almost 10 years now. Thanks to the support of the DAAD, this partnership takes place annually between the two institutes as part of the ISAP (International Study and Training Partnership).

Every year, three students from the HfMT go to Santo Domingo and three students from the UNPHU come to Hamburg. Two lecturers from the partner university also teach at the other institute each year. The project ends with all participants, German and Dominican, and many other HfMT students with a brilliant finale: the Latin Weeks.
