lecture concert: Discovering our Roots #2
Friday, 06/06/2025 18:00 HfMT, Fanny Hensel-Saal
Following the homage to Philipp Jarnach - composer and first rector of the HfMT - another concert is dedicated to the work of a composer from the early days of our university: Ernst Gernot Klussmann, the actual founding father of the HfMT, its vice president since 1950 and long-time professor of composition. The renowned Kuss Quartet will play his first string quartet, which the ensemble recorded on the first CD dedicated to Klussmann's work, which has just been released. In short lectures, Prof. Dr. Hans Bäßler, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang-Andreas Schultz, Dr. Carsten Bock and Florian Schuck will contextualize Klussmann's work, his influence and his music. This will be followed by a moderated discussion with the editor of Fono Forum, Arnt Cobbers.
