n the 1990s, Aileen Wuornos shot seven men in their cars in Florida. After her arrest, Aileen was often staged and instrumentalized by the media. As a murdering sex worker, as a man-hating lesbian, as a monster. But who was Aileen behind these external attributions?
The production addresses this question in the form of on-stage research. The research is based on various documents from Aileen's twelve years in prison. In prison, Aileen looks back on her life, which was marked by violence, which she experienced as a perpetrator and as a victim. Due to the isolation of solitary confinement, Aileen's memories and statements became increasingly contradictory. What happens to the principle of believing survivors when survivors stop believing themselves?

2025 - Theaterakademie Hamburg, Directing Drama & Dramaturgy course Shootingstars - My bullet has no other target than you
In their final projects, directing graduates Lori Brückner and Aniol Kirberg address the question of the conditions under which women resort to violence - women who are both perpetrators and victims. Their productions approach two figures who defy simple moral categorization and whose actions have a long-lasting effect.
