Musethica is an international training program for advanced young musicians and chamber music ensembles. It combines artistic excellence with social commitment and aims to deepen interpretative skills through a variety of performances together with experienced Musethica tutors.
The focus is on inspiration, musical listening and the development of comprehensive artistic competence.
Most of the free concerts take place in social and educational institutions and are primarily aimed at people who do not have the opportunity to attend a concert due to their particular life situation. The Musethica session is a one-week intensive course. It begins with two rehearsal days including artistic coaching and continues
continues with daily concerts at local social institutions in the local community. During the session, the participating musicians play chamber music works, including together with the Musethica tutors, as well as solo pieces.
At the end of a Musethica concert week, there is usually a public concert in a concert hall.
The aim of Musethica is for the course to become an integral part of training at music universities, academies and conservatories in Germany and other countries.
