About Emma Stratton
Emma Stratton, the Spanish-British pianist (Pals, 1999) began her piano training at the age of six. She completed her piano studies at ESMUC (2021) with distinction with Vladislav Bronevetzky and completed her Master's degree with Aleksandar Madzar at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama (2023). She is currently also completing her concert exam in Hamburg. She has already performed in Spain, the United Kingdom, Austria and Germany.
She has won prizes in international competitions, including the Isaac Albéniz Competition in Camprodon and the Jove Intèrpret de Catalunya Competition (2018), the Les Corts International Competition in Barcelona (2020) and the Elise Meyer Competition in Hamburg (2022). She has also received excellence scholarships from the Fundació Anna Riera and the Spanish AIE. She has attended masterclasses by internationally renowned pianists such as Stephen Kovacevich, Stanislav Pochekin and Maria João Pires, among others. In 2020, she also completed a residency at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, where she received lessons from Prof. Dmitri Kaprin. About Sumire Hisatoku
Sumire Hisatoku was born in Osaka, Japan in 1997. She started playing the piano at the age of 7. Since 2016, she has studied bachelor's degree in piano at Kobe College in Japan. In 2019, she gave her first solo concert and received a sponsorship award from a Japanese and American foundation. She graduated at the top of her class in 2020 and received a special prize for best accompanist at the university. She has won prizes at various competitions in Japan to date. Since 2022 she has been studying for a master's degree in piano with Prof. Stepan Simonian at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama.
