First insights into the research project

These questions are the focus of our research project "Building bridges - language support through musical activities in elementary school", which we are currently developing together with elementary school in Hamburg. We would like to give you an insight into the preliminary study supported by the ZEIT Foundation in the form of a presentation.

The evening will focus on initial insights into our ongoing stocktaking and the resulting perspectives for further project development. In addition to a compact keynote speech on the research project, we will show a short film that summarizes key impressions from interviews at three elementary school in Hamburg. In these interviews, school principals and teachers from the fields of music and German as a second language have their say and provide differentiated insights into current challenges, experiences and development opportunities for language education in everyday school life. The aim of the project is to use these findings to develop a scientifically sound, music-based didactic approach to language promotion that can be effective as an integrative teaching principle in the long term.

Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to round off the evening with a drink in a relaxed atmosphere.
