"I play the piano, too."
Saturday, 11/14/2026 09:00 - 18:00 HfMT, Mendelssohn-Saal
We are very pleased to once again offer the “Piano Days for Amateur Pianists” after three extremely successful editions. The Hamburg University of Music and Drama and the Leipzig-based piano manufacturer Blüthner invite you to the fourth “Piano Days for Amateur Pianists in Hamburg.” The event will take place on November 14 and 15, 2026, in the Mendelssohn Hall at the HfMT. With this event, we aim to offer amateur pianists the opportunity to share their musical experiences with like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere and gain new insights. A varied weekend centered on piano playing awaits you. Get valuable practical tips in the master classes with Elizaveta Don and student Malte Henrik Gohr (class of Prof. Hubert Rutkowski). You’re also invited to join two workshops (one of which will be held at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg featuring historical instruments) and to perform as a participant in the public closing concert on November 15 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mendelssohn Hall. Passive participants are also warmly welcome. You can observe the master classes, attend the workshops, and enjoy the participants’ concert. We look forward to seeing you!
