SCIENCE AND SOUNDS - Where Music Meets Medicine

The content on this page was translated automatically.

Dear colleagues, interested parties, and friends of music medicine and music therapy, the significant increase in chronic diseases calls for new, accessible, and effective treatment approaches. Music-based interventions from the fields of music medicine and music therapy address the physical and psychosocial burdens associated with chronic illnesses. “Music-Based Interventions for Chronic Illnesses” is therefore the title of our third “Science & Sounds” Conference in Hamburg. During the expert symposium on the first day, (inter)national speakers from the fields of medicine and music therapy will present and discuss different perspectives and treatment approaches for chronic diseases. The second day is also open to the interested public and will feature insights into the transdisciplinary research activities of the newly established ligeti center and the Center for Music Medicine and Music Therapy at the UKE. Presentations and a case forum will focus on how theoretical research findings can be effectively translated into practice. In workshops, you’ll gain interesting practical insights. You can also look forward to a diverse musical program. We cordially invite you to this third festival-conference in Hamburg. We look forward to two highly engaging days filled with stimulating professional exchanges and new insights!
