The study program

The transverse flute courses are divided into Bachelor's, Master's and concert exam courses.

A successful entrance examination is required for all courses of study, for which highly talented and committed young flutists can apply to the flute classes of Prof. Jürgen Franz and Prof. Björn Westlund.

The focus of the course is on the instrumental and artistic mastery of the flute and the requirements of a wide-ranging professional life.

In addition to the flute repertoire spanning different epochs, orchestral parts on the flute and piccolo are a further focus of the course. Mr. Daniel Tomann-Eickhoff is available to both flute classes as a piccolo teacher for the secondary instrument piccolo.

Orchestral and chamber music projects are also an integral part of artistic training at the HfMT Hamburg.

Erasmus exchange programs can also take place if capacities are available.
