Description

You will gain an overview of the history of music therapy in Germany, Europe and worldwide. You will get to know the formative theories, schools and methods of music therapy and know how to locate them between medicine, education, psychotherapy and music. You will reflect on their theoretical foundations, conception of the human being and understanding of illness, methodological characteristics, dissemination and significance, evidence and the role of music. The seminar concludes with an overview of the research situation in music therapy.
