Dear Homies, dear students,
the seminar "Cultural Studies Hip Hop" will re-start on April 13, 2026, as usual in the Cypher Höhle, room U11 Budge from 15:00-16:30!
This semester, we will continue to deepen our artistic-scientific perspective on the largest youth culture in the world, with a focus on the interlocking topics of "History", "Theories of Youth & Popular Culture" and "Sex & Gender".
It is just as easy to join the seminar for the first time as it is to continue your participation from the previous semester. Feel free to bring interested fellow students and acquaintances to the course, a cooperation with students of the Hip Hop Academy is planned.
The seminar is offered by the HfMT's Diversity Studies department for students from all possible disciplines who wish to study the world's largest youth culture and the pop culture courses associated with it. In the sense of "artistic research", practical aspects also play a role, and a final presentation is planned.
We will also once again feature illustrious guests who will tell us about rap and hip hop culture from their perspective; last semester's guests included Torch, Boris Ekambi and Jan Delay.
And if you dont know - now you know!
