- Description
How does a musical idea develop into a playable piece for very different ensembles? How can music be arranged in such a way that it becomes lively, flexible and sonically diverse in a school or educational context?
This seminar focuses on students' own musical ideas. Students develop and work on their own arrangements and instrumentations as well as intercultural adaptations of existing music with the aim of consciously expanding the musical spectrum and opening up new approaches to making music together.
The aim of the seminar is to write practice-oriented arrangements for group music-making in a wide variety of formations - from heterogeneous class ensembles to open instrumental formations. The notation software Dorico will be used to implement the exercises; no previous knowledge is required. Practical examples, joint analysis and direct application will be used to deepen, practically test and reflect on the content acquired.
The seminar is aimed at all those who not only want to interpret music, but also create it, adapt it and make it playable for others.
