Description

In terms of its social relevance (and explosive nature), the call for diversity currently permeates almost all areas of Western society. The project seminar "Diversity 2024 - In the Ensemble!" approaches the topic in terms of its significance for academic, educational and artistic perspectives in the entire field of Music and Drama. Based on the "Study Weeks" on the topic of diversity, which the university will be holding in the coming semester, the focus will be on six subject areas:

- Inclusion
- classism
- Closeness and distance
- Anti-discrimination
- Coloniality
- equality

Further perspectives and interests from students on the topic of "diversity" are very welcome!

The course is structured as an ensemble seminar. Students choose their own focus of work and can also put together their own course from various mini-courses according to their individual interests. It is a largely flexible course and can be taken as a musicology seminar, as a musicology/music theory project (3 credits) or as a project course for Master's students (3-6 credits).
