The last part of the lecture series will focus on the music-historical development of the 20th century and the present day. Analyses of selected compositions are intended to present the development and plurality of New Music from the departures and renewals of the first decades to the aesthetic phenomena of the present day, without, of course, being able to indicate more than just a few stations and processes. But not only the compositional premises of our (approximate) contemporaries, but also our own relationship to New Music is worth reflecting on. And why is it that New Music is hardly ever received?
