- Description
Through physical and breathing exercises, we work on body tension and breathing so that these can be consciously applied to the voice or instrument, allowing the sound to develop powerfully, freely, and effortlessly. By becoming aware of the internal movements that occur while breathing and while singing or playing an instrument, we refine our control over body tension and embouchure pressure. Tension patterns, stiffness, and lack of mobility become apparent and are addressed.
The course is aimed not only at students who wish to use their voices in a more body-conscious way, but also—and especially—at wind players and all other instrumentalists who wish to make music in connection with their bodies and their breath.
