- Description
Joint Seminar by the Elbphilharmonie and the HfMT Hamburg
Instructors: Anne Kussmaul, Terhi Romu, Prof. Hans-Georg SpiegelThe Elbphilharmonie offers a wide range of music education programs and seminars for students, amateur musicians, and hobbyists. Artists such as Chris Potter regularly lead workshops here and at the HfMT. For you, too, well-designed workshop concepts and experience in leading them are a valuable and important addition to your professional portfolio.
The professionals at the Elbphilharmonie will provide training on the following topics:
• What is music education in a concert hall? What formats are available, and how do they work?
• What role does music education play for me as a musician?
• How do I create a good workshop concept?
• What aspects do I need to pay attention to when conducting a workshop?
• Final project: Developing your own workshop concept. One or two concepts will be selected and put into practice by all course participants as part of the Elbphilharmonie’s educational program.Participation in three observation sessions at the Elbphilharmonie Education Team’s “Instrument World” workshops is also required.
The seminar will be held in person.
