Theoretical input is consistently supplemented by students’ own experiences and reflections. Topics include, for example, group climate, group norms, group roles (including that of the group leader), processes of coordination and boundary-setting, and much more. Students learn to recognize and classify group-dynamic processes and to manage them appropriately, among other things, using music therapy techniques. Students develop the ability to understand their own and others’ experiences and behaviors in groups as part of a mature, meaningful psychological organization.
