Description

In this block seminar, we explore the creative possibilities of theatrical media such as lighting, sound,
and video beyond their illustrative functions. The focus is on a playful
approach to these media rather than on technical perfection. Starting from a
non-hierarchical theater, in which even a spotlight or a sound can become central actors
in the play, we examine the performative potential of technical tools and
the synergies that arise from their combination.
In addition to becoming familiar with accessible software and hardware tools and the practical
application of stage technology, we discuss aesthetic questions regarding the use of technology and
examine examples from the fields of object theater, game theater, and installation theater, and finally, we create short multimedia sequences.
