Description

If you want to make music well for a long time, you need more than just technique and talent: a body that can keep up, a mindful approach to physical strain, and strategies for dealing with pressure, practice, and performances. The two-semester seminar “Music & Health” takes a practical approach to the musculoskeletal system, breathing, body awareness, mental practice, hearing protection, performance anxiety, stress, recovery, and time management. Students learn to recognize signs of strain earlier and to make their practice, rehearsals, and performances healthier and more effective. The course includes practical exercises, reflection, and an oral-practical exam. If interested, please register by email at musik-gesundheit@hfmt-hamburg.de.
