Description

Since 2010, The Young ClassX’s MusikMobil has been on the road for Hamburg students, and has now transported nearly 9,000 students from their schools to one of Hamburg’s many cultural institutions. During the bus ride, the school classes are introduced to the respective theme through music education—and this is where you come in!
The MusikMobil seminar is a collaborative project between the HfMT and The Young ClassX. It offers students from the HfMT Hamburg, the University of Hamburg, and the Lübeck University of Music the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of (music) education. You’ll have the chance to learn educational methods—from body percussion to listening games—in many exciting workshops and try them out directly with the students. In addition, as our MusikMobil educator, you’ll accompany a school class on a trip to an event hosted by our partners, such as the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, the State Philharmonic Orchestra, the NDR Big Band, musiculum Kiel, or Steinway & Sons. The goal is to inspire children and young people to engage with culture.
After successfully completing the seminar, you can continue to work as a freelance MusikMobil educator and accompany MusikMobil trips. You will be compensated for this work by The Young ClassX.

Seminar Format:
The seminar blocks will take place in person at the HfMT Hamburg. All seminar participants are required to take a trip at the start of the seminar to familiarize themselves with the MusikMobil. In addition, there will be individual consultation sessions to prepare and follow up on the concepts for the bus trips. These can also be conducted online as needed.
The course requirement consists of preparing and conducting two MusikMobil trips.
