Description

Classical/notated music in places where it is rarely heard: In NEXT STAGE, students are developing new approaches to creative concert formats for the HfMT’s partner schools for the fourth time and implementing them directly on site. The focus is not just on making music, but on reimagining how classical music is presented and making it accessible to a diverse audience. How do we reach young people who have little exposure to classical music? What can build bridges? How do we create musical experiences that leave a lasting impact? The focus is on music education, outreach, education, and artistic initiative. The seminar combines conceptual work with direct implementation: The group steps outside their artistic comfort zones, designs interactive concert projects, and tests them with a live audience.
