Description

In this course, participants will learn and practice the fundamentals of acting and improvisation in order to build practical experience. We will work with our bodies and voices in the space, try out different approaches and methods (e.g., biographical theater, scores, performance), and delve into material development and scenic design. In addition to improvisation and performance practice, the focus is on developing a sense of aesthetic forms and how they work. We will work in both small and large groups so that participants can practice group and partner work. In addition, we will reflect together on the exercises, aesthetic forms, and teaching processes. Active observation and constructive feedback are also integral parts of the course.
