A multimedia evening with students from the Multimedia Master's program
Friday, 11/08/2024 19:30 HfMT, Forum

Experience an extraordinary evening in which music, technology and visual art merge into an intense overall experience. Three contemporary works - Enos by Ian Whillock, A Peculiar State by Christopher Ramm and HOLY WATER by Candid Rütter - deal with the dissolution of reality and identity in different ways.

In Enos, the boundary between self and environment is dissolved. Cello, electric guitar and 7.1 electronics create a world of sound in which consciousness and memories are shared and everything merges into a harmonious whole.

Christopher Ramm's A Peculiar State combines the harpsichord with live electronics and video art to explore the parallels between the restlessness of the 17th century and our modern world, in which reality and virtuality are becoming increasingly intertwined.

HOLY WATER reflects the symbolic and physical power of water. Using song, electronics and visual elements, the immeasurable, all-pervading presence of water is experienced in a way that goes far beyond our direct understanding.

This evening offers a journey through soundscapes in which past, present and future as well as the boundaries between the digital and real world become blurred.

This is the first concert to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Master Multimedia.
