Bone Zone: What's better than a trombone? Four trombones! From the trombone section of the big band, Prof. Dan Gottshall develops a very special kind of ensemble sound together with his jazz trombone instrumental class and an energetic rhythm section. With so much "bone" power on stage, the back-and-forth trumpets perform two sets full of wonderful harmonies and wild dissonances - and above all a tight section sound that you rarely get to hear.

Saxophone ensemble The ensemble explores different transcriptions for saxophone through the centuries. Together they explore the different styles of musical heritage from the Renaissance to the present day.

Percussion Ensemble The newly founded percussion ensemble of the Jazz Department of the HfMT Hamburg, under the direction of Daniel Hansen, presents itself to the audience for the first time today with a stimulating and varied program. The four young drummers will play pieces ranging from minimal music to marching drums, thus entering a chamber music space beyond the jazz drum set. Let yourself be inspired by exciting sounds and rousing rhythms.
